Windows XP SP3 RC2 Build 5508

Microsoft is approaching the launch of Windows XP Service Pack 3.

According to the latest signs related to the delivery of the service pack, the deadline is set sometime by mid 2008, as initially announced. Untill then we are advised to download this update only from the Microsoft Download Center.
Also, if you have installed XP SP3 RC1 or XP SP3 RC2 you must uninstall it before upgrading to Windows XP SP3 RC2 Build 5508.

The uninstall thing doesnt look good to me. I dont remember uninstalling anything while updrading to sp2 .
