Which do you think is the best social network for marketing/promoting your website?

I personally put Twitter top of the pile, even though it is largely taken over by gossip and "celebs".
Twitter can be used to brilliant effect with tools like Tweepi (targets and gets you more followers) and Twitterfeed - both tools which other social media sites lack.
In my opinion Facebook and Google+ are more for socialising than promotion and other sites just aren't anywhere near "the big three".

Twitter is my number one traffic wise, if your looking to get up close and personal with possible leads then I suggest Facebook and Pinterest.

Rather than focusing on one, you should at least focus on the top ten - That is what I do anyways.

I personally myself feel that Twitter is the best social networking site when it comes to the promotion side of things to be honest. I currently use both Facebook and Twitter for my promotion and so far the most traffic has come from things I have posted on Twitter.

I have just been looking at Pinterest myself for promotion and it does seem as though it could be quite a successful way to promote so that may be my next step.

I think twitter is currently the leading social network and micro blogging system, which is used for promotional reasons. In my opinion Google Plus will have a bright future, if it continues to grow.

I love Facebook. I get steady traffic to my website. I love that fact that you can message people who have questions about your website. I also like that you can find more leads and targeted and specific traffic geared toward your business. For instance if you are looking for teens or stay at home moms, you can find them on Facebook.

Both Facebook and Twitter are good. If I had pick I would say Twitter is definitely best. I tend to get more traffic from Twitter than Facebook.

I agree on Twitter. I find it more strategic compared to Facebook. However, with regards to traffic, I think Facebook is on the lead. If the purpose is on recruitment marketing, I would choose LinkedIn. It really depends on your target goal.

There are many social medias like Facebook, Google+, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram etc. But among those Facebook is the most popular media so would be perfect to select for marketing/promotion.

Twitter for immediate interaction with fans/followers, etc.
Instagram for short videos, photos, etc
LinkedIn strictly for professional i.e clients,profile,etc.
Google+ because google makes it compulsory.
