I do buy a lot of links and blog post. When I request for blog post link on some forums its unlivable what some vendors offer you.
Most of them have sites you can hardly call a blog, mainly so called "blog reviews" which are basically splogs.
Anyway, I think it will be useful for less experienced link buyers to compile a guide to what to look for when buying blog post or indeed links from a website, here are some of the things I look for, please add yours:
1. Does the site name match the contents (this will help you know a blog that was just a drop domain someone hastily install wordpress on.)
2. If you type the site name in search engine, does the site show up number one or even on page one?
3. Does the site contain quality posts other than site reviews?
4. Does it have about us page, contact us etc the pages you expect from a decent site?
5. I give higher preference to a domain name hosted by the owner rather than one that is a sub domain of blogspot or other free blogs service.
