that is carved in stone everywhere --but the quality (and validity) is very questionable in many instances.

What's good is very subjective and relates to many variables. Ballpark: >4%
Decent but nothing to brag about. Just an example of the equation (computation)

Look, if your page is an over optimized SEO bait click and you have great CTR but don't sell (convert) anything
--then a 25% CTR is meaningless.

CTR is a better used value to decide on A<=>B or multi-variate landing page testing. CTR is just one KPI in developing a conversion funnel that works.

Don't get lost in the small shit: "you need to see the forest not just the individual trees"

A good CTR in Google Search Console can be different by industry and position, but generally, a CTR of 3-5% is decent. 10% or more is ideal for top-ranking positions and a higher CTR. CTR shows how many people clicked on your link compared to how often it appeared in search results.

You can calculate CTR with this formula: (Clicks ÷ Impressions) × 100. For example, if your page gets 50 clicks and 1,000 impressions, the CTR is 5%. To improve CTR, focus on writing catchy titles, clear meta descriptions, and ensuring your content matches user intent.

A good CTR (Click-Through Rate) in Google Search Console typically ranges between 3%–5%, though it varies by industry, keyword type, and ranking position. To calculate CTR, use the formula:

CTR = (Total Clicks ÷ Total Impressions) × 100

This shows the percentage of users who clicked your site after seeing it in search results.
What is The Good CTR in the Search Console and how to Calculate CTR ?

Conversions matter, CTR is only a relative metric. SEO is is a fool's path for CPA affiliates.
You're just trying to make money, or rep here—it's so damn obvious.
