What is the difference between sweepstakes and cc phishing?

I am new here, wanna ask a question.
What is the difference between sweepstakes and cc phishing?
Because i found that sweeepstakes link also asked for the cc details.
Anyone can help?

Buy a prepaid creditcard or use PayPal as the front-man.
Never pay a merchant through a redirect using a cloudfront SSL/TLS Cert either.
These ccsubmit offers are shady unless the vendor/merchant is a well know entity (business) and not an imposter who is just phishing.
