What is the Best Form of Seo

hi guys, what is the best form of seo. Is it having great well written content on the site or is it having back links on other sites like plumbers in bristol for example that target how you want to list in search engines, or is it both?

Good content that will organically attract links (i.e., that other people will want to link to) or that will encourage sharing on social media is the best and safest way to increase backlinks.

But of course, it's not ALL about external links. It's also about how you structure internal (navigational) links, similar posts links, alt tags in images, page titles, etc., etc.

You need a mix of both.
First you need to build good content and do a great on page SEO.
After you have your content and you finish with the on page SEO, you should focus on off page SEO.
Off page SEO means building backlinks and creating social media accounts.

You can build backlinks through guest posting or as djbaxter mentioned above me,
great content will organically attract backlinks.

Create social media accounts: Unfortunately social media platforms don`t provide backlinks (because the links are marked as nofollow) but social media will provide a good amount of traffic.

Remember: In order to have success you need to use a mix of all of the above. Don`t be afraid to use the search bar option or to ask around if you have other questions.

My advice would be to start looking at what your competitors have used as keywords and then target those words.

Try keep it organic and natural the better the content the more likely you will be found in searches. Don't just link anywhere though it will just kill your visibility in the end.

Start with keywords research
Select the most profitable keywords
Create landing pages with descriptive Meta tags, quality content, rich media
Get back links from authority websites
Submit sitemap in Webmaster tool
Add analytics and measure performance.

You should do both of them. In the long-term, any website want to have high ranking and attract reader and even encourage visitors return and come back your site, you have to offer them best contents. No one like one website if it doesn't provide them any value.

However, if you only generate good content (and optimize for on-page) without off page (back-link, social,...) you never rank in the first page.

So you should do both of them. The content strategy is the best! Invest many time to do it!
