What is Proxy on Smartlink Statistics Page?

I have been checking my smartlink Statistics and when I check the statistics I see that some of my campaigns are getting proxy around 50% of total hits and unique clicks. What basically this Proxy means? Is proxy Traffic bad? Is is taken as fraud ulent Traffic on the affiliate network?

Well Thanks. I was concern about the general proxy meaning . I thought who knows that what proxy refers in Cpa world as a newbie. So I have nothing to worry I guess
