I recommend reading all the stickies in the newbie forum then the niche marketing forum. There are tons of different ways to go and not one clear path. If there was one thing that worked really well everyone would be doing it and it would no longer work. But in those posts you'll get some good ideas about what has worked for others and also what to avoid.

The top rated affiliate training course (which I've been a member of for years) is called the chrisfarrellmembership (google for it)
