What are the ways to increase the website traffic?

All great information here guys thank you but can I ask you guys if back linking is a way to increase traffic as well ?

You do paid traffic which is very targeted and works pretty well. There's tons of options out there for paid traffic but do your shopping and get the best bang for your buck

Excellent tips I am starting to do more long tail keywords to help drive traffic, but to have a successful website you have to do all the things right. With more practice though overtime you learn about new things to help improve your site. It honestly really is trial and error as you gain traction with your website.

@Likhitha See this is the spam that rampant with forums and blogs and no matter how much you combat it they will always come back.

We had a customer a few years ago that hired an SEO "company" and this is what they would do albeit a bit different. They would post randomly on forums and blogs with a whole paragraph of keywords and then link the website in their signature. Naturally, search engines would see it as spam and then push their rankings down.

Increase traffic the way it's been posted here (guest posts, build credible back links, social media, etc.) but be careful on how it is built. It takes a long time to build quality content and increasing traffic naturally and would suck for your reputation to be tarnished because of some mistakes that could be avoided.

One great way to increase traffic without spending money is by attracting affiliates. This is where you pay the affiliate percent of the sale ONLY after they get you a customer. So basically you are getting free traffic from them.

Through On-Page and Off-Page SEO techniques. Sharing in social media sites from this you can increase more traffic to the website.

Well all the above are the good white ways of traffic, there are many black and grey methods of traffic generation too.
