What are Long Tail Keywords?
Is this just longer keywords (KeyPhrases) ?
Can anybody tell me a bit more about Long Tail Keywords?
If you can, it would be appreciated. Thanks!

Google has the answer: https://www.google.com/search?hl=&q...avclient-ff&rlz=1B3GGIC_enUS448US345&ie=UTF-8

I just scanned the 1st 3 - 4 articles and they are all good you should read.

But essentially long tail is a less competitive 3 -4 word phrase instead of the narrow CORE 1- 2 word key phrase. Pet store may be the primary key word but canned cat food would be a long tail. Friskies canned cat food or natural canned cat food even more specific.

So one strategy is to target lots of smaller, less competitive and more specific long tail phrases.

Keep in mind too that even if fewer people are searching for a long tail like natural canned cat food, it's a more specific product, so conversions can be better.

Linda is right.

Let's say you are selling shoes. PPL don't type in shoes to buy them online - they might put "Nike Jogging Shoes" - this would be an example of a long tail keyword. This is more specific and will get you more conversions.

Similarly, adding location to a search phrase, as in "Lake Erie Fishing Charters" in bigcat1967's signature above.
