XP Antivirus 2008 is one of the latest malware that devastates the Internet. It usually comes up after you installed a video codec that comes infected and it generates fake and misleading system popup error messages so end-users will be tricked into purchase the full version of XP Antivirus 2008.
Even if it's named XP Antivirus, this malware affects most versions of Windows, including Windows Vista.
If you find that you're infected with this malware and your antivirus can't get you rid of it, please leave a post and I'll write down the manual removal procedure. Hope you're not though...
edited: it seems that there are more new malwares that are using misleading names (like PCAntispyware,PCCleaner,DataHealer etc.). Be careful, the Internet is crawling with those spywares.
