Using Blogs with PLR Post?

I recently read a post about building 2 or 3 blogs related to your main website for page rank purposes.

My question is about using turnkey blogs that are using plr articles for post. I was thinking about buying 3 of them and pointing them to my main website. Is there a good chance I would be penalized for duplicate copy? I could probably rewrite or spin the post.

Do you think it would be better to just start a new blog.
Thanks for your advice.

I never use PLR. Or you have to rewrite it. Even though some people say duplicate content does not matter, I think it does. With original content I get more visitors from broad match terms of my main keywords. These PLR articles may already be used by thousands of people. Just type in the first sentence in Google and see how many results there are.

Hi Kalan, Thank you for the tip about Google. I too believe that original content will work the best.

No way! You need original content for ranking! If you don't want to sit there and write get a freelancer for 5 bucks each. But PLR articles are all over the web, have been "shot" several times, and not to mention that in most cases outdated. You have to be unique, relevant and current!

I have tried rewriting PLR articles, well: it is actually easier to write a new one. At least for me. And sometimes you end up with a version that was the PLR's original's original, as they are themselves spun articles, you can tell by the wording :)

Thanks for your advice Toucan-Marketing. I totally agree and have abandoned that thought. If it's worth doing then it's worth doing right.
