Only time will tell what will be the future of online gambling in the US, but I think the latest upheaval caused by the legislate move in Washington represents a hypocritical approach by the US regulator. The purpose of regulation is to balance between the need of a society as whole and the individual (a person or a company). At times the regulator takes the moral highroad and decided that he knows best what is good for common man. We saw this forceful intervention in American citizen?s life in 1920?s prohibition act but it didn?t and I believe that the current law won?t last for the same reason ? popular demand will take its course. I hope the people in capital hill will come to their senses soon.
