I am in need of some advice- maybe some "ideas"... Here's the situation...
I was asked (by a friend of the family) to step in and get with his son on trying to do some artwork, come up with promotions, a website, etc. for his business.
The business is a Ink "exchange" and refill business. The father has done the investing and is pretty much doing the work. The father just purchased a vinyl sign plotter and sent the son to school and training for it- with hopes it would be something more to build revenue.
The problem is- the son dosen't want the business, he doesn't care- he's pretty much an "idiot" and I am at a loss here! My recommendation was first of all- either change the business name or add something to it to show that you do more than ink... you have this vinyl sign investment and you're not letting anyone know at all.
So here I am- trying to piece together the steps of the plan I have layed out for him and he won't get motivated enough to tell me what he wants as a "slogan" or how he wants to incorporate the vinyl into his name and advertising. So... it's on me and that's why i am here.
I am having a really hard time trying to come up with something. Does anyone have any ideas of slogans or phrases- something that i could work with to create publications and do marketing that incorporates both these things? I have ideas for the work itself but I can't do anything without this- I have done so much web surfing to see if i can find others who offer the same two serv as one business and no luck.
any ideas for this? (advice would obviously be what I already know- and that is that I am wasting time and money bothering when he doesn't treat his small amount of clients right already so whatever I do won't get him to want to be in the business anyway- but I'm stuck!) Any creative ideas or suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!
