Aldi has been called the world's best grocery chain.

The German company has more than 8,000 stores around the world and is rapidly expanding.

One reason people love Aldi?

The brand's famously low prices.

Groceries at Aldi are "shockingly cheaper" than those at Walmart, according to a study by Cheapism. They're also cheaper than those at industry darling Trader Joe's.

Aldi employs a few smart strategies to sell groceries for so cheap.

That's true. Aldi offers very good quality, is cheaper than most other supermarkets, has clean stores and offers not only groceries, but also everyday objects such as clothes, computers, televisions, etc. etc. (But the logo and the furnishings look better than in the article. These seem to be old pics.)

By the way, Aldi is the abbreviation for "Albrecht Discount", the surname of 2 brothers who inherited one store by their parents in the 1950's and built it up to an international company.
The 2 bros are in Forbes' list of the 10 richest people in the world with a fortune estimated at about 38 billion bucks each.
(Who cares. Rothschild had more than 300 billion mice, and that already in the 19th century.)
