I still have no idea how you play American Football. I tried watching it a bit last night but got confused by all the "6th downs and the 10 yard line" (or something).

It is a very slow game - It would be better if they had 5 seconds max to get ready for the next play. It suits the American TV companies though - how many ads did they show!

Very true.

I went to NY once and watched a Knicks game (basketball). That was very similar with all the stop-starts.

As soon as it gets interesting or 1 team starts to dominate, the others call a time-out!
