You want your site to be in top 1000 in Google? Did you mean traffic or just ranking? Number 7 in Yahoo is really not bad.

I hope the website mentioned in this post, should not have violated any Google quality guidelines because anyone does that, this is exactly what happens...the website disappears from SERPs... And if the website is fresh to Google then it will need a gradual and various promotion activities to get on board in the SERPs...

There is no rocket science for getting your keyword in the first page of Google. You need to focus on relevant content and quality backlinks.
