Hi there, I've just came back from an event talking about SEO and the speakers were telling they made money blogging. Ones with adsense and others by selling infoproducts from affiliate programs. It was really inspiring as it seemed such a close opportunitty for me to take.
Well, I have chosen a first niche to start with but as I'm a newbie I'm struggling with a bunch of doubts:
1) What template should I choose?
I have read the post at http://affiliate-marketing-forums.5...-templates-resources-post13299.html#post13299
but there are so many templates that I'm lost. I'm planning on making a Content-Based Affiliate Blog, mixing adsense and putting affiliate links on a side bar. Is there a starter's template for it? I've found this adsense optmized template called blue sense - BlueSense WordPress Theme - Download BlueSense WordPress Template, is it a good one to start with?
2) Should I create a domain myniche.com - my niche or should I try first blogspot/wordpress to test the traffic I will get?
3) Should I use blogspot or wordpress?
4) There are no advertisers when I search for the keyword of my niche at Google. But it has a nice traffic (600,000 monthly searchs within my country - shown at Google Keyword tool) and there are books and ebooks I could sell from affiliate programs. Should I still go on with this niche?
5) Should I mix Adsense with Affiliate links? Or should I focus in one or another?
6) What is the best strategy?
- Making posts at the blog explicitly the products VERSUS just posting without selling the products and only putting a side bar called `Related Products` showing the affilate product images?
7) If I can get my blog at google`s first positions, can I stop blogging?
For example, let's say that I've made 10 posts at the blog selling the affiliate products and through a good SEO I got a very good position and therefore good traffic to my blog. Can I stop blogging or I will have to be forever posting there?
