Still hoping to get into the world of online video? If so, I'm sure you've looked at screen capture software that lets you create "how-to" training videos, sales presentations or can turn a PowerPoint presentation into a video that can be uploaded to YouTube or played right from your site. There is a burgeoning market for free and paid "info-products" plus now there are sites like <strong><a target="_new" href="http://freeiq.com/freetraining">Free IQ</a></strong> providing the next-generation platform for video info-product publishers.

The industry leader in the screen capture market is Camtasia, priced at $299. A new player in the screen capture video space just came out yesterday. I have no idea how good it is compared to Camtasia, but Brad Fallon from <strong><a target="_new" href="http://freeiq.com/freetraining">FreeIq</a></strong> is recommending it so I assume it's pretty good and for the price you can't beat it. <a target="_new" href="http://www.screen-capture-video.com/">Screen Show Pro</a> is only $37. <strong>However Brad made a special deal so you can get it for <a target="_new" href="http://freeiq.com/screenshowpro">just $29</a>.</strong> (Note: that's his affiliate link, not mine.)
<blockquote><strong><a target="_new" href="http://www.prweb.com/releases/2007/6/prweb536619.htm">Press Release</a></strong> "According to Michael Ullman, President of Tasteful Graphics, Ltd., "Screen Show Pro fills a tremendous market need. Before Screen Show Pro, if you wanted to create videos from your computer screen, you were limited either to paying hundreds of dollars for programs like Camtasia Studio or Adobe Capture, or trying to muddle through the low-cost/freeware/shareware programs available on the Internet. Screen Show Pro offers users a solid, easy-to-use, professional program at an affordable price."</blockquote>
If you know others that may be interested in this software, you can sign up under Brad's link above and become an affiliate and make 50% commission.

PS: If you haven't tried video yet, you could be missing out big time. I spoke to a very seasoned IMer yesterday and his videos consist of a single static image and a voiceover.

Even with said "production values" he gets tons of traffic from YouTube to his sales page and a comfortable level of conversions.

Not too bad for a few hours of work and way cheaper than a PPC campaign.

I think the standouts are that your video needs to provide good information, entertain and be funny. [ideally all three]

For those looking to monetize your videos, look at metacafe.com and revver.com, the top earners there bank about $1k-2k per week from video submissions alone [and that's not factoring in their backend affiliate/CPA offers!]

Try CamStudio I think the price is great(free) and it can convert to flash video from within the software. I use it in conjunction with PS3 Video 9 to convert the AVI files to MP4 before upload to youtube this is a bit time consuming but it works

Jing is good, but limited

I've also used Jing and really like it. Very easy to use and "integrates" with Screencast.com (also free), which means you can quickly create a video, publish to screencast.com (so they host it on their servers consuming their space and their bandwidth), and then just give people the URL. Very slick.

The one downside/limitation to be aware of is that you can only record up to 5 minutes. So you better talk fast :D

I love making vids, but my problem is in the creativity! I go blank - hate that. But I'm keeping my thinking cap on and meanwhile, am wondering just what joining YouTube.com means - I hear people saying they actually make commissions this way, but how? Slow on the video craze but am trying to catch up. Tx!
