Small Advert Vendors - How annoying

I wonder if its just me, or does any one else find some of the following irritating:

• A monthly advert purchase where the sites want you to come back to the site and pay monthly, I have and advert on a site like this and I told them to cancel my advert yesterday, I have far more better things to do that to go back to their bleeding site every month, I ask for a subscription and I was told they do not want to do subscription because their price may change.
• Enquire about and advert and you are asked to make and offer. This also irritate me greatly, you are selling the advert, you should know how much you want to sell you space, I usually make and offer of £0.00

Add to the list if you have stuff you think can be improved in ways small advertisers sell their adverts.

That is so counter productive. I have trouble getting advertisers for my blog, so I try and accommodate them as much as possible.

The only difference is those "We'll pay you $50 to put our paragraph on your pages". Then I be as much of an immovable arse as possible.

Temi, for those of us that are not sure how to price ads, your knollege would be most welcome.
How do you work out the price for displaying ads on your sites ? size of ad x visitors or something along those lines.

Advice welcomed from a newbie.

You price ANY product according to the market. Look at the busiest sites in your sector, compare their prices and traffic with your own, and you should have a better idea of pricing.

You price in short according to what people will pay, NOTHING else matters.
