Sketch Before Designing

As designers, I was wondering if any of you sketch a layout on paper before
you create your CSS for a new site, or a redesign?

Martin, i never scratch anything. I open the photoshop in order to select the proper colour codes, but i directly build the sites using its code and css. Maybe i should use scratches

I have done it occasionally I'd only really do it now if I had a pattern I wanted to use and illustrate it with the path tool.

I usually have a general idea in my head and start coding it directly into the page. Whenever I need a background image or logo/header - than I go to photoshop.
