Signing up for Amazon affiliate membership.

I have had my personal Amazon account for a long time. I use it to purchase lots of items as well as using the prime streaming video service. I am just beginning to learn about Internet Marketing and it seems the Amazon affiliate program is recommended. Should I set up a separate account for use with the websites I create, or is it better to use the existing account to join the affiliate program?

If you are planning to use this for your business, I would recommend setting up a separate account, in the business name.

I don't actually have a business name. Should I come up with one before applying for the affiliate program?

As far as I know, you don't need a business name to apply for the Amazon affiliate program.

You dont need a business name, but a separate account to your purchasing one makes it nice and easy to keep track as you know it is your selling account when logging in.

Nope, you don't. I just use my name but even though I'm Canadian, I have to use the US site for affiliate activity/selling, they don't offer this on the Canuck site.
