Rich Jerk at CJ

I thought the Rich Jerk was a worn out fad marketing gimmick that was doomed to die a slow death. Hasn't he worn out his welcome on the net yet? Hasn't he made enough money yet? In my mind this program was the epitome of a "get rich quick" Click Bank program. (I'm not a CB fan.)

No dear, this is NOT an affiliate link!

So I was suprised to see the Rich Jerk at the top of the list of new CJ programs. I'm really curious to see how they can justify the ROI of this move considering the saturation of this program and the average order size considering CJ's monthly minimum.

CJ Affiliate Program Description: "Everybody loves money, especially when it comes easy. And that's what you'll get when you become an affiliate of The Rich Jerk....easy money. The sales letter, infomercial, testimonials and quality product contribute to high conversions. We also create a free website for every new customer, and give them access to a private forum. Now, if only RJ started giving away a hot babe with every order. No matter though.....The Rich Jerk still RULES."

They pay 75% on CJ just like they do on CB.
Join now. The money's easy and the babes are a bonus!

I found his material offensive and condescending at first. Then I re-read some of it. While it was still O&C, I realized what he was doing, so I just sluffed it off.

I can't treat people that way, so it wasn't for me.

I swore I would never pay for a get rich quick program. But I am curious about this one. I see it in a lot of places, but wonder. what can they say that you don't already know?

I read somewhere that they have an upsell of something like $1200 for personal training. Sounds like they don't want to help you get rich, they want to help themselves get rich.

Can anyone give me a brief synopsis of what this is? is it how to set up an affiliate program? is it how to buy foreclosure homes in your area? is it how to sell crack on the corner? any bit will be of help. Thanks.

Hi,

It's a site that shows you how to market on the net. It approaches the subject almost from a gurellia warfare standpoint. I found it very interesting, but his style, just isn't something I was interested in, as I believe in developing long term relationships.
Then one day, I got an email from the Rich Jerk. I figured it was just the usual marketing crap. Then I checked out the site he was promoting, because I found his first stuff an interesting read, and I was looking for something to do after my heart surgery in May.
The site was a promotional piece, which lead me to the program I'm now associated with and am working. It wasn't something I was expecting. So, the bottomline is that The Rich Jerk is my sponsor. I would have never thought he would be involved in a program like this....but strange things do happen.

Regards,
Milfredo :)

Hey Check this out!

Someone over at DP shared the Rich Jerk Affiliate WELCOME LETTER:

"Against my better judgment....I accepted you to my affiliate program. Don't make me regret it.

Now I suppose you are hoping for words of encouragement, like how wonderful it is having you on board, and how I want us to be close friends....blah blah blah. That's not gonna happen. The only way to get my personal attention is to generate massive sales. Can you handle that? All you gotta do is grab my banners, check out my affiliate page at xyz for some tips, and get to work.

It ain't rocket science. I guarantee there are people dumber than you making more money than you on the internet. Now it's time to get your slice......"

ROTFLMAO!!! :D Good one!

That is exactly why I didn't care for the Rich Jerk. I didn't like the attitude. Since he is my sponsor, I'm looking above him for advice and help. I don't expect to ever be in contact with him.
I'm still glad he sent me the info on the opportunity I'm associated with now.

Crazy things do happen.

Its just a gimmick

The whole offensive thing is just a gimmick ... it must be working because we are talking about him.

I think that as long as you can see past the offensive style you can also benefit from RJ ... my understanding is that some of his principles are sound, and I have read that he is a real guy with some real money.

Not sure about the Charlie out of Charlies Angels image though!

One final point maybe we should not lower ourselves by making critical comments about any program unless it is proven to be an absolute scam ... which I dont think RJ is ... although I have not invested in it.

Don't misunderstand me. Whatever he is doing, it can't be too wrong. He's exploded my business.

I was just saying that approach is not for me.

Milfredo :)

Agreed, his style really rubs me the wrong way and I have to admit when I 1st saw it I felt like he gave our whole industry a black eye.

Now I think it's kinda funny and a great, but twisted brand of viral marketing.
Like mangozoom said it must be working cuz we're talking all about it. Any other ebook and I would never have mentioned it here.

So in essence I just gave the guy free advertising and marketing exposure he would never have gotten at 5 Star if he wasn't so over the top. :p

IMHO It looks to me like another ebook that is going to tempt those that are looking for short cuts. There are dozens of these books out there but there are also loads of free sites (like this one!) where you can pick up the same advice.

The one thing you can't take a short cut on is hard work but that's where these ebooks are going to keep cashing in because people always want to try.
