In brief

In 2022, the top internet browser globally intends to stop supporting third-party tracking cookies. Privacy regulations around the world are also evolving.
Creating a new system within these constraints requires careful planning — but marketing functions will then be equipped to deliver better results.

Suggestions:
1. Leverage first-party data
2. Operate in a single online domain name
3. Capture people-based durable identifiers
4. Develop second-party partnerships
5. Use contextual and publisher targeting
6. Follow privacy regulations
7. Enable a better platform for consumer control of their data

What's all this?
What's happening in 2022?
Don't mind a slide down message user can click agree/disagree
--> Like BBC website
But hate popups
Will never displays popups to customers
Even if it's the law

That is a jQuery overlay of a webpage --not a pop up.
I am seeing more and more of this *you can choose.*
The potential fines are enormous and the EU asserts its citizens privacy rights regardless of the website's location. However, the EU has not pursued a case extra-judiciously over this (yet).
California starts this in 2022

Sophisticated websites can gather data the is not so anonymous. If the data is not stored in a secure encrypted enviromet hackers can get to it or it can be shared with 3rd parties without the person's consent. We all are not just using Google-Analytics in the wild.

Anyone trying to track using cookies is cheating paying out referral commissions is a certain % of instances. <bottom line.

  • Finish the English translations ...
  • The CPC is relatively high --but if the quality is there this will not matter ...
  • Can you segment by sub-GEO like city, state, zip in the USA or province or region/city elsewhere?
  • What's the minimum to try it?
