One way back link

There are several ways to create one way backlinks. flimsy listed some really good ways. But keep in mind that it's not always about the number of backlinks you have but the number of solid related and relative backlinks you have. Do your home work and research some good keywords that relate to your niche. Write articles and use those keywords. Post to related forums signing them with your site url signature. This is a great way to get one way backlinks. Good luck with your one way backlinks.

Flimsy listed all the basic ones that are all good if you use keyword specific anchortext on the links.

Here are some other great ones:
1. Find blogs realted to your niche and contact the administrator. Offer to write a guest article and see if you can get a link in return.

2. Build a blog (or two), and host them on a separate server and separate IP. create uselful blog posts on a regular basis. Get the blog ranked and some PR by the tips Flimsy gave. Then in about 6-9 months use your blog for link exchanges!!!

Hope this helps

Flimsy had the right idea but did not elaborate on some important points --- if you do not follow these principles, the links are useless to Google:

Directory Submission= must be relevant sub-category, not too far removed from main index (for better PR passing ability)

Article Submission = make sure that they give author credit with a Do follow anchor text link to your site. Look for profile page with Do Follow.

Forum Posting = look for relevant bbs with matching KW to your site

Social Bookmarking = complete your profile page, signature, & avatar

Blog Commenting= look for High PR, "DO FOLLOW", and "Top Commentator" widgets.

Directory Submission
Article Submission
Forum Posting
Social Bookmarking
Blog Commenting

This is a complete list. Other than that you should also make sure that you have accepted related topics from that site link to your site. That would give a nice ranking.

What ever you post. Post it on High page ranked sites and see that those sites are related to your site/content.
As someone from above said picking good keywords is also quite important.
