More and more phishers, scammers or other cyber-criminals are trying to make from the Internet a thiefs-paradise, that’s why when I hear news about arrested phishers I enjoy my day better.:dance2:
According to Hindustan Times, the three phishers had stolen from 30 people’s accounts more than Rs 33.5 lakh ( I believe somewhere around 68.000-70.000 E ) in the past 2 months.
It seems that they were sending e-mails to HDFC Bank customers in which they were asking for personal accounts’ informations, including passwords.
Two of the phishers were nigerians, and one of them was a former call center employee.
As a conclusion, DO NOT SEND BANKING ACCOUNT DETAILS THROUGH E-MAILS! Not a single bank will ask details through e-mails...:nono:
