Newbie with some experience behind. Need community help

Hello everyone,

I've stumbled upon this forum back in 2020 and was so excited to read experience of different people shared here. I have digital marketing related experience in SEO field mainly.

However, I'm a perfectionist and I was afraid to start as I lacked a lot of info.

I've launched recently few meta ads campaigns and got familiar with all the metrics, how to optimise, etc.

Now I am thinking to start with some platform and test my skills.

HOWEVER, majority of useful information is back from 2016 which is 9 years old already and I doubt it all stayed the same.

So my questions are:
1. What would be the best platform to try?
2. What would be the best product to try? Gambling? Antivirus? (I know, majority might say test'em all to find yours, fine).
3. Does it really works like: a) build a campaign; b) get it approved by manager; c) get positive ROI; d) scale budget cautiosly while checking the metrics to keep positive ROI?
4. Would it be $10-$15 enough to try and see if campaign is fine (in 2016 I saw a guy used exact budget to test campaign out)?
5. What other expenses I should be ready for besides the ad budget?
6. What tracker should I use?
7. Do you think it's eligible to use PayPal for money withdraw? How is it working (I'm from Ukraine).

I think you need at least $200 for any serious testing.
Personally, I like Welcome | Maxconv Documentation documentation as it's pretty straight forward. Check Search results for query: tracker We have a lot of "approved tracking programs."

If you are a competent coder you could create you own tracker—that's a bit of reinventing the wheel—but long term and high volume that may be the most cost efficient method. Trackers are $40-$80 mo about and depending on volume.

HOWEVER, majority of useful information is back from 2016 which is 9 years old already and I doubt it all stayed the same.

Maybe that data is 25% to 35% still good. Depends on the attributes captured.

Can you help me with my initial plan?

From what I have - I have saved $400 on my PayPal account. I would be absolutely happy if I manage to use it and not lose it. I think this is possible.

I also have a domain name from niche "health and beauty" name - do I have to nest my landingpages on this domain?
It's not finished - do I have to develop simple homepage/about us/affiliatedisclosure pages that might be required from affiliatemarketing platform?

What affiliate platform to apply? I've had crackrevenue account but it was disabled some time ago and I can't register with my main account again.

I'm a bit lost and I have to move quickly not to get stuck in research loop (did this last 7 years).

As for developing my own tracker - I'll have to use the service. Developing my own is too complex.
