offer payout is proportionate to advertising costs and conversion rates (CR) there is no standard rate only formulas based on expectations or real data. Or, how long is a string? <<<the question with no definitive answer.
For instance a SEM project I 'participated in (long story) recently;
SEM ad was 1.40 CPC and
the pay-out was $14.00 <<miserable failure
800 clicks paid with 25 CTR for the landing page to a pay per call offer @$13 payout conversions
google ad was good --
the landing page was bad --
the call center was bad also (in India)
long story, but had the payout been $20-$25 maybe the funnel could have been fixed.
I rewrote the copy on that landing page and he did some redesign to my specs
and we had 5 CPC clicks in, 1CTR and 1 payout CR.
The vertical was Air Line Reservations (not my choice).
