Many affiliate websites struggle because of poor SEO practices. Common mistakes include keyword stuffing, duplicate content, slow page speeds, and weak internal linking.

Focus on writing original content, answering search intent, and improving website usability. Regularly update older articles to maintain rankings and accuracy.

Good SEO builds sustainable affiliate income over time.

Man, I have seen so many affiliate sites crash and burn because of this stuff. It is painful to watch honestly.

Keyword stuffing? That is so 2015. Google is way too smart now. You try to cram keywords in there and you are just asking to get slapped. Same with duplicate content. People think they can copy paste product descriptions and get away with it. Nope. You are just wasting your time.

And slow page speed? That kills you twice. Users bounce and Google ranks you lower. It is a death spiral. I spent way too long ignoring that until I realized people were leaving before my page even loaded.

Internal linking is one of those things nobody talks about but it makes a huge difference. I started being more intentional about linking related posts and my average time on site went way up. It is free traffic honestly.

The biggest shift for me was just writing for people instead of robots. Answering the actual question someone is searching for, not just hitting a word count. And updating old posts? That is free money. I have posts from two years ago that still bring in commissions just because I refresh them every few months with new info.

Good SEO is not flashy. It is boring honestly. But it pays the bills month after month and that is what matters.
