Link Exchanges Have Little Value - Discuss

As the title says. From my experience link exchanges have little positive effect on SERPs and as a traffic sources. I personally prefer to spend my time getting on-page optimisation spot on and improving load times and other technical elements.

What are your thoughts?

I think link exchange is very important. Especially the links from the high PR and relative sites.

Do not exchange links with site which has no commen with your site. And do not exchange link with low PR sites.

and it also depends on where you put your link. If on the home page, I am sure it is uesful.

Every link is important and has some value, and the links that are from relevant and quality websites are more important in SEO point of view

You may get stuck when it comes to link exchange. It is becoming much rarer that people are prepared to exchange links, because they pose little value to search engines and result in just as little trafic. You might want to focus your energies on writing some content that people will naturally want to link to you for.
