Is Ubersuggest accurate?

I'm looking at keywords that should be driving high traffic, for example, "cutting diet for bodybuilders". But apparently it only produces 1600 monthly desktop searches and 0 mobile searches. According to Ubersuggest it has had 0 mobile searches all year.

Another example, "cutting diet" only has roughly 3,000 total searches per month. How is this realistic?

I figured even if I dominate a particular part of bodybuilding (writing absolutely amazing articles, using good funnels, being honest, etc.) I would still have to beat out sites like coachmag and bodybuilding.com, who have a lot more Backlinks and domain authority than me.

Wouldn’t they continue to rank higher in words they target?

Also, my focus is on Classic Physique Bodybuilding. A one-stop-shop for advice and training programs, nutrition, supplements, and equipment to build the classic physique like the old-school bodybuilders like Arnold strives for, or the modern-day class physique bodybuilders like Chris Bumstead.

If you want to be a bodybuilder, but you want more of the classic, aesthetic physique, my site (will) be THE ultimate place for you to go

Most people won't read your amazing articles
It's why old myth about 3,000 words blog post doesn't work anymore
But concise lists and action points will work
Agree with @Strickland and @thelegend about video
Better to make videos if you want big traffic source

Classic Bodybuilding Guide

how do you get concise lists to rank? If there’s only a few hundred words is there any chance to get ranked?

And I’d be up for doing videos, but I’m only decently muscular, not big and ripped. I definitely don’t look like the subject matter expert just yet.

Bootstrap panels: simple and collapsible 5 demos

A demo of collapsible panels

With some real css styling this may work
I did something last year with these panels and logged the visitor clicks to open the panel --purpose was to measure user interest in the heading panel text content (subject)

If this design is too advanced for: you could read more ... with a link accomplish the same thing really ...

many thousands (millions) of people are playing the long tail keywords game today ... to stand out you will really need to have some luck. Unique or not often seen content that is useful to some smaller segment may work better.

The only reason I was going to do 3000+ word blogs would be to rank on Google. Lists seem like they would resonate with viewers better, but I don't know how Google could rank them if they aren't very long.

Now, for a top 10 list, each item being 200-300 words, that comes out at a 2000-3000 word article, but simplified into a list of 10 that the viewer can easily distinguish and skim if they want to. But it still has a lot of content so that I can beat out more experienced sites.

Would that work? How would short lists rank?

Exactly. I can tell you first hand if you write the perfect 200 word article just for the reader, a 2000 word article will outrank you. That's the way google works right now.
With regard to your blog, I beleive you already know WA and Income School? They are two very good resources, if you follow those without distraction your blog will rank and get traffic.

Try and see
Tip: use onpage anchor links for the reviews with a topic list at the beginning for real people.
They may index as //example.com#product_review_6

best place to buy scarves online - Google Search
here is the first affiliate type site I saw (the rest are branded outlets)
*where is the wall of text?
I'm not sure if my results are the exact same as yours due to the .co.uk / .com thing but I understand your point. The first affiliate type site I saw also had no wall of text or blog type setup. So I ran some checks on it and found it does actaully have a very large blog that's not listed in any of the site menues, which links to that page. It also has a large youtube presence, which also links to the page and the landing page for "best place to buy scarves online" has well over 50,000 backlinks of which 99% are do follow.
That's going to be a tough page to out rank!!

if we are talking about finder.com there are 143 domains linking in many that are high authority

Hi @Graybeard
How are you checking the backlinks for finder.com?

Mine is showing 2,043,604 backlinks and 19,147 refering domians
Finder.com does also have it's own blog finder.com/blog

If I do a search for "best place to buy scarves online" in finder.com all the results are department stores with linked blogs.

With respect, I'm not sure any of these points will increase page rank in google?
