As you are all probably aware, British Gas and Scottish power are due to increase their electricity and gas prices.

Scottish Power is increasing their electricity by 8%, and gas by 15% as of the 1st March 2006.

A senior source at British Gas has said the price rise will be between 22 and 25 percent, effective any day now.

The majority of consumers are well aware of the above situation and those that aren?t soon will be due to the mass online and offline press and media communication. Consumers in the utilities sector are as a rule driven by cost. As Powergen has no plans to increase its prices and has a Gas Guarantee that promises to keep gas prices below British Gas until 1st January 2007, we now sit in a prime position to take advantage of these price rises, with an upsurge of switches expected for Powergen.

So now is the time to start promotion of POWERGEN.

To take advantage of this situation, affiliates need to aggressively promote Powergen NOW!
This opportunity is extremely time sensitive so don?t delay start promoting today.

The Powergen programs are run through the buy.at and Tradedoubler networks. If you are not currently a member and want to join the program, visit the below and find out about the program benefits:

Powergen Affiliate News

Due to soaring wholesale costs, the EDF Energy brands are to increase their gas and electricity prices from 13 March 2006. For domestic customers the increases will be 4.7% for electricity and 14.7% for gas.

Two other suppliers - Npower and Scottish & Southern Energy - have already raised their prices this year. Further, Scottish Power has also recently announced that from 1st March its prices will increase by 8% for electricity and 15% for gas.

As you can see Powergen is in a strong position at the moment. With the ?Gas Guarantee? product offering cheaper gas than British Gas until January 2007, guaranteed. This should see Powergen remaining competitive and appealing to new customers.

I am seeing a very positive response from our affiliates, and I?m sure this will be reflected in everybody?s sales figures.

All the best
