Just discovered an acronym I LOVE. It was actually posted on a private medical forum I belong to. But it occurred to me how great forums, blogs and tweets would be if there was a new marketing rule about ICEE!
The poster on the med forum was talking about an interview he just watched with the CEO of a well known company. Then the poster said.
So before you post on a forum, comment on a blog or Tweet, ask yourself if what you have to say is ICEE! Does it Inspire, Connect, Educate or Entertain? If it doesn't do one of the four, then don't post it!
Here on the forum we get spammers that post meaningless posts just for sig views sometimes. Instead of giving an infraction for off topic or meaningless posts, we could just say "Sorry but your post was not ICEE" and link to this thread.
What do you think? Are you an ICEE poster or blogger?

They were talking about how in today's world "cram it down their throat" advertising ineffective. Tony stated that he has a checklist that he uses when he tweets. The acronym ICEE stands for: Inspire, Connect, Educate or Entertain. If his content doesn't do one of the 4, he doesn't send it out. I got to thinking that that should be everyone's marketing message checklist.
