Hello..

So I have decided to do a journal, I normally hate these types of things and I find people always leave them half way through.

But seeing as im completely new to the CPA industry and know hardly anyone in it,
I thought I would create one here as a good way for you to get to know me & vice versa.

Hopefully I can gain some helpful advice from you guys aswell.

So my background (short n sweet)
Been in IM for around 4-5 years - 1,2 years of that was spent playing with IM, then around 2 years ago I got really good at SEO, ranking my own websites then I started ranking client's website, everything was going really well.

Until... Google changed their algorithm, I lost everything went on a bit of a mad bender. And thats where that story ends.


Going Forward..

Rite - I wanted something new to get my teeth stuck into I loved the idea of paid traffic sources and not relying on the big G.

So I invested into William Souza's CPA Evolution. Its a fantastic course and has given me a insight into the world of CPA & im currently working on the first module which is focusing on POF ad network and dating offers. Im one week in and starting to see some ROI but very little and only around $5 profit. Im currently looking to scale this up with more angles and targeting more countries but by all accounts the majority of the traffic on POF is now more mobile.

Which Is what im going to be focusing on next..


But I have some issues > After losing it all I needed to return to full time work, I'm a sales guy and i love the buzz of selling face 2 face, but I work 10-12 hours a day 5 days a week and every weekend which restricts me from spending time with my son. So "Time" is a issue although i still spend around 3-4 hours a day online working.

Budget - Im supporting my family and saving for a house which does restrict my budget, but im also very aware that in order to make money I need to spend it which I have no issues with, What it does mean is that ill be allot more strict during testing phase.


So thats more or less it, I dont want to spend much more time writing this post so if its a ton of spelling mistakes etc Lets not give to many shits about that.

Ill try and update this when I learn something new or see some changes in the campaigns.

So - First Update..

Last night I setup a campaign aimed at Australians which was a duplicate of a campaign that was giving me a ROI on POF with dating offer. (very very low, but something is better than nothing when one week in).

So my CTR on my ads is around 0.17% but only 5 clicks as I am only targeting desktop traffic but no conversions and $6 down for the day > so my next target is to find a mobile offer and landing page to test how that does as after speaking to Ben from POF the majority of the traffic is mobile for my audience.

So started sending mobile traffic but the lander CTR is stupidly low. This will have to do with it not being completely mobile optimized. Anyone have any info on creating mobile landers?

Found it - re-optimized my site with Adobe Muse (pretty cool tool) and just turned the traffic back on. Lets see how this converts. Wish me luck.

Will Do AZGold. Ive downloaded mobile mastery aswell so reading that.

So Far, Ive decided to stick with POF desktop until I can consistently earn profit from it. Then Ill move onto mobile.

So far I have a campaign breaking even but Im testing a much more niche angle tonight just a little worried about the traffic volumes.

Whatever you have been told, you are not going to make any money with POF and dating landing pages. As your CTR and earnings will tell you, don't waste anymore money, it will cost you hundreds before you realize, it is not working.
If you want to earn with dating as an affiliate, this is what to do.
Look for a niche within dating, such as, black singles, senior dating, gay dating, you get the idea.
Then create videos and upload them to Youtube, Dailymotion, Vimeo and these type of video sites.
Try different niches and put a link to your landing page near the top line of your description.
Your title and first line of the description needs to include your keyword.
Believe me you will earn money like this than with POF. If you do not believe me just try it.

Update --- Due to reading Jay & Tauns questions and going throught their blog, Ive decided that i was doing it all wrong, spending 20$ here and there... It's not the way to do it. So at the moment i am saving up $1000+ to get some good data so slightly on hold until I get the funds but will be back with a bang.

In the meantime im going to be doing more research on the porn sites (it will be research honest). Building banners & landers and setting everything up so its perfect in time for the traffic.

I know it's been almost a year since the last update, but any new update on this thread or what happened with your CPA campaigns?

I'm curious because I also don't think PoF is really the way to go, no matter that gurus tell you. That's so over saturated that you'd have more chances selling an android phone to Apple's CEO

Also, investing $1000 right from the start might not be the ideal solution. Yeah, you need to invest some money to get some data, but $1000 is quite a lot to invest all at the same time.
