Here are some conversion rate tips for the UK flight claims niche (some of them also apply to other niches). If you're not taking advantage of this offer already please get in touch with me today.

1) Site speed

The speed of your website is crucial in getting that conversion, especially on mobile with a poor data connection. Use a service like Pingdom to check your site speed.

2) Mobile-optimised, not mobile-responsive

Everyone has a mobile-responsive site these days but how many are truly optimised for mobile? Check how your page looks in different browsers like the Facebook browser for example. Also, for flight claims, don't make the flight number and booking reference mandatory fields because if someone is out and about, they may not have that information to hand.

3) Brand bid on airlines

If someone has had a delay on an EasyJet flight, they are likely to type in 'EasyJet compensation' or similar. Don't be misleading, but utilise brand bidding as it brings cheap conversions.

4) Emphasise the stress-free angle

Sure, people can do directly to the airline to claim compensation, however it often causes a significant amount of stress as the airlines often make things difficult and come up with various excuses. Using a 3rd party service is often quicker and easier, so make sure you're making that clear.

5) Negative keywords

Don't waste clicks on keywords that will never convert. For example, Monarch Airlines went out of business - so add all variations of this airline to your negative keyword list.
