I want to start work on blog commenting and article commenting but I am confused that it will be really helpful for any site or not. please suggest me role of these strategies in seo and how it will be useful for any site.

Yes article and blog commenting helps to increase traffic and backlinks. But one important point is comment on dofollow.

Yes it will help your website, it'll increase your backlinks and help you rank for keywords, supplying your using your keywords as the anchor text on the blog comments. Remember if your going to write real comments, try to go for high-PR blogs with high-PR blog posts, which are also dofollow.

Hello if you use Firefox you can use a plugin called "nodofollow". It works very well and takes seconds to check every link on the page

I highly doubt Google values blog commenting much. Especially considering there will be so many dofollow links on each page.
