How Proficient Are You At Typing?

I can type about 50~words per minute. At first, when I started
using PCs, I would "finger peck" at the keyboard but I
forced myself to learn the correct way of typing. I must
admit that I was very fast at "finger pecking", and to start
to disciplined myself on correct finger placement on the keyboard
and not looking down at my fingers as I type was a royal pain!

But I persevered, and now I can type so much faster! So I
was wondering how many of you webmasters type correctly, or
do you "finger peck"? And what's your WPM?

Dude i live by the backspace key.
I have found that with the increase of speed, the amount of times i hit the backspace has increased.
I type pretty well, round 50 - 60 wpm (without looking at the keyboard)
when i have to type things like numbers though, its back to hunt and peck
I remember when I first took a typing class back in HS, bout a quarter of the way thru the class I broke my thumb in wrestling practice. : Had to learn how to hit the keys with a cast. Every so often though you would hear a loud *clunk* as my cast hit the space bar...good times!

Never timed myself typing, but 50-60 words per minute sounds alot to me, I reckon I can do about 20 words/min. Kinda instinctively know where all the keys are now, but I am no touch-typer

Last time I timed myself on an online website I think it was only around 30 words a minute. But that's fine for me.
