Now that the initial scare about the new FTC Guidelines is behind us, I see more and more affiliate marketers using disclosures creatively and to their advantage. Some smart marketers are even making the art of self disclosure fun!

If you are still wondering how to leverage the FTC Guidelines into a positive force for your business, then I think the following articles can really help.

Below the articles you'll find my vote for best affiliate marketing disclosure.

Why The New FTC Guidelines May Become Your Best Friend "The guidelines have raised the bar, it?s true. The new killer copywriters will be as ethical as they are persuasive. Those who can rise to the occasion will succeed & thrive."

How to Turn Affiliate Marketing Disclosure Into a Selling Point "Being completely frank with your readers about compensation can be scary, because you think people will think less of you. But in a cynical world where everyone thinks everyone else is on the take already, honesty becomes a selling point."

NOTE: Even though Lurn, Inc. receives compensation for products and services promoted in our blog posts, we always give our honest opinions, findings, beliefs, or experiences about those products and services.

I love this disclosure because it's clear, honest and it makes no apologies. Best yet, is the way it's written. By starting off with "even though" it makes a positive assumption that yes of course we get paid, but at the same time it almost minimizes the "get paid" part and maximizes the integrity of the information and reviews that are delivered.

Great post Linda!

Lurn's honest disclosure keeps everything out in the open. I would recommend following more companies follow that example.
