i am new to affiliate marketing and I would like to learn how to make side money

Nice! Welcome to the forums. I'm new here myself and getting antiquated with the community. How did you get into affiliate marketing? What kind of offers would you be interested in running? Where do you want to run your traffic?
Identifying what niche offer you would want to run would be a good start, offers are very diverse from ecommerce, to lead generation, CPA "cost per acquisition" etc. From there you can identify which products in those offers you want to run.
Start testing offers out and get a feel for how to develop your own ad strategy. The industry is constantly evolving and changing so staying on top of industry news is critical for success. Start looking for good podcasts and different audio books to educate yourself and to keep you motivated.
