And for those who'd rather not think about what day it is:

I was at my usual place on Friday afternoon (Friday the 13[SUP]th[/SUP]! ) in another office where I do some consulting... One of the women who works there, leaving at the end of the day, was carrying a single rose and announced as she left, "I'm going to go home and pretend somebody loves me!". She said it in a jovial way but it was a reminder that not everyone loves this Hallmark Holiday.

On the other hand, if you are in love, either in a new relationship or an old sustained relationship, it is a fun day to celebrate with your significant other, and you don't necessarily have to give in to all the marketing hype to do that.

Another reason i say to others Happy Valium-tines day, its one of those nights if your single you just want to take a sleepy pill and wake up on the 15th!

I took Mrs Mac away a wee run through the Galloway hills when we stopped I had 2 slices o Mrs Mac home made soup sat around watching 5 deer strolling by it was a grand sunny day but as it was -4 every bit of us was frozen stiff still we had a grand time when we got home sitting by the fire with a few drams and helping to thaw oot each others bits.

You have to love the lassies.
