Hello Everyone.

I would like to introduce myself and offer thanks to Linda for providing this forum. I started out in affiliate marketing then management way back in 1995. In 99 I was able to relocate here to Costa Rica. Pura Vida! Thanks to the internet I've been able to fullfill my dreams and I feel truly blessed. I've generated an income online in one form or another and haven't had a boss for more than 12 years.

--I'm not saying this to brag. I wanted to share this with everyone to show you that if you want it, it is possible for you too.

Once again, thanks for this forum. This place is an invaluable resource for anyone trying to live off the net.

Welcome to 5 Star, CyberNerd.

Yes, it is possible to make it. The sad thing is too many people want things to happen quickly and give up too soon.

It is good to see that you like 5 Star and we are pleased to have you as a member. With your experience you can probably answer questions some of our members might have.

Hi CyberNerd,

Wow, Costa Rica! How has the change been? I have a friend who quit his day job a few years ago to concentrate on online activities of his own, he is a huge advocate. He now has a baby girl and is loving the fact that he can watch her grow up.

Hows the weather?
Do you sit on the beach with your laptop as so many of us dream of?

Looking forward to hearing some of your words of wisdom
Banks

Hey CyberNerd,

Welcome to 5 Star. I can't tell you how much I appreciate your intro and kind words.

I'm really excited to have someone like you on board. It's so motivating for new affiliates to hear from someone like you who's made it and lives the dream.
Hope you can jump into some conversations and share your insights with our members.

Thanks Guys,

Banks - You are right on the money. When I originally expatriated my goal was to sit on the beach working from a laptop:) Reality was, I didn't really like the beach. Way too hot and sticky for me. I'm living in the central valley. Actually half way up the mountains at about 4500'. It's 74 degrees year round and I have panoramic views of the central valley which lights up at night. If I want to go to the beach, I can be there in less than 2 hours.

I have 4 year old twins and another on the way in 6 weeks. Working from home has allowed me the freedom to spend quality time with my family. That in itself is priceless.

Carbonmouse - Let me know when you get here. I would love to hook up with you while you are here. Drop me a PM or email and I'll give you my phone number. There is so much to do here; fishing, surfing, diving, beaches, rain forest getaways, canopy tours, hiking, casinos, night life. I don't want to turn this into a thread about Costa Rica. I can point you towards whatever interests you and help you with connections, driver, etc.

Check the threads in the contest forum. I'm going to be giving away (2) trips for two to Costa Rica next month to 5 Star Affiliate forum members as a way of introducing myself and my program to the group here. I will be posting the details later today or tommorow. Just waiting to iron out the terms.

Looks like you'll be pretty popular around here.
Way to start things off with a bang! :)

It really seems like you are living your dreams over there.

I want a trip to Costa Rica.

Anyway, best of luck with your affiliate program. I watch out for when you start divulging.
