Hey there,
I entered into affiliate marketing about a month back. So far, I am highly motivated and anxious at the same time to see how it works for myself.
I have designed and launched 2 websites so far in a month's time. One of them has made 3 sales giving me about $130 commissions with $40 dollars of advertising. The ROI of that website is great. However, keywords are really competitive. Like $1-2 per click. So far, so good.
Now, I have general question about both the sites. So here we go:
Website 1
I am very nervous in terms of promoting this website. I have put the campaign of that website on hold as I personally think that this is like a gamble. What if I was plain lucky that out of 30-40 clicks people made on my ads (which I think were really good). This is the website I made sales from.
My question is that should I go ahead and promote this website. I was thinking of selling this website actually. I am sure if someone values it, I can get $700-1200 for this website which I can use to promote my second website if it does well.
Website 2
This also has some really good potential and advertising is relatively less expensive. 20 cents give me 1-3 or 4-6 position in this website. I have launched Google Adwords campaign for this website. About $15 a day. I am getting lot of clicks. Not sure, when it'd generate a sale.
For this website, I am pretty sure that I do have a relevant website that takes users appropriately to a great merchant's landing page. However, 1 day of advertising and no sales makes me a bit nervous. Nonetheless, I had planned that if 2% of those clicks generate sales, my ROI would be 200%. So, I am waiting to see if that happens.
The question for this website is, how long should I wait to see if the sale happens. I mean, how much time should you wait to see your campaign giving you results.
P.S - My previous website gave me those 3 sales in about 2 weeks. I personally think that it shouldn't take this long.
I am a bit nervous right now. Comments are highly appreciated.
