I believe that as long as the comments remain relevant to the niche targeted then dofollow commenting is a good thing and shouldn't be considered a as spamming. However we that some are just exploiting those do follow comments sites purely to get backlinks to their site. We all as webmaster need those, but we also need to respect other's work and post accordingly.
