Expected traffic fee

Hi Folks,

I just started my first campaign using propeller ads, popunder, cpm for an app install offer in ZA / South Africa. Within one hour I already had 1,700 impressions and 17$ of deduction. Is that a normal budget? I thought that tier would be cheaper to start. Do I have wrong expectations or should I have done anything better?
Of course there were no conversions. Although about 400 clicks. However, I just want to get familiar with statistics before I assume making revenue.

ZA is an expensive geo to target (it's one of the most expensive outside of IT/DE/US).

oh, good to know. And I asked my AM for a cheap geo as a beginner. Alright, got it. I am gonna switch the geo.

Well Indian traffic is cheap, but so are offer pay outs.

I would focus more on South East Asia and Latin America. There's a lot of cheap traffic to buy.

I would also look for a new AM. If they are giving you bad info from day 1, then you don't stand much of a chance.

also Don't try to focus only on English speaking countries .
try to test your vertical in many GEOS .

India works well, and i think you could also target Nigeria, they are cheap also!!
