Excellent domain registrars?

If you have any recommendations, they would be much appreciated. I have great hosting, but they have horrible domain management. I am looking for great customer service and complete privacy protection on the domains, no name showing, no address, phone, etc. I am relatively new, so I am looking for live help if possible, maybe a smaller outfit that has great service. Any thoughts welcomed.

Hmm, well, read the whole thread, was leaning towards your horse there, Godaddy, at the beginning.......then, some members talked about ransom fees, locking name servers, and the like,sooo..... maybe I will take a look at namecheap and moniker.

One of my concerns is the fact that the whois looks like it gets indexed in google when you sign up at registrars, and then it looks like a searcher can find out every other domain you own.
