ENUM - Domain name for phone system?

I was at a conference last week, it was organised by Nominet to shed more lights on ENUM, a domain name system like technology for the telcoms, has anyone here heard any thing about ENUM ?

I'm on the ENUM 353 Policy Advisory Board at the moment

It's being rolled out across most of the EU and elsewhere, but there hasn't been that much takeup as yet.

ENUM sounds interesting, ill do more research on it. Ive never herd of it before untill now.
