Encouragement

Is your patience wearing thin with all the free or paid programs that you signed up for? All of which promised to deliver, then seem to be falling short of your needs. Believe it or not, It only takes you.

Ok allow me to rewind just a bit, keep in mind that this does not mean the programs you may have signed up for are no good. They may be some of the best of their kind. But you must understand that they WILL NOT do all the work for you. A lot of marketers get frustrated and give up on programs that give little results to no results quickly, but what you must remember is that you get what you put in. Consider instead each program that you sign up for as a tool, to be used towards your online goals. A tool like a shovel. Say you needed some holes dug, would you lay the shovel on the ground and then expect it to start working away? Of course not. It is a great tool, although it needs you to use a certain amount of energy for it to reach it's true value as a useful tool.

Alot of the frustration comes from simply not knowing how to properly use the tools that you have at hand to reach their full value. Try as you may, it could very well seem as if nothing you are trying is working. You may say I know I tried everything, but have you taken the time to truly research if and why it's not working? Or have you simply noticed little to no change on your site's hit counter and decided that it is not working.

It boils down to research, and this is where the successful money makers online excel. If they have their link posted anywhere, on any program, or site; they have a way to see how many times people clicked through, what page those people where on prior, what browser those people where using, what country they were from, almost everything except a social security number. And does something like this cost? Nope, you can find it for free on the web. So once again this is where research, time, and patience come into play.

So before you give up on your new or old tools, ask yourself: Did I fall short of my needs?

Nice post, John. As long as we keep what you say in mind and tortoise it, rather than expecting overnight success, all will be right with the world. ;)

Thank you, too often people are lured in by the pipe dream of earning a quick buck. No one goes from $0 to $1,000 in one day with out first doing some research and preparation.

All good points John!

Research is everything! I must admit I am still a newbie in this new found passion of mine and It's very hard for me to read all those tons and tons of materials about the trade. In my free time I usually have myself occupied by reading some good affiliate books just to catch up with the tide. I am slowly getting the hang of it.

I have been managing two great programs(eDimensional & TVDVDLand) for quite sometime now and I haven't got any significant improvements. I really do hope you can give me some expert advice on this.

BTW, what book or e-book can you suggest? I'm trying to learn everything in a very short period. I am working on this part time and I am a regular employee during the day.

Thanks and hope to hear from you!

Hi everyone,

Success is not a one time event, it's what you do steadily and consistantly over time and towards meaningfull goals.

Also, trying and experimenting in this industry is part of being successfull. There is no experience acquisition of this industry if you don't try. You can get lots of advises but remember one of my favorite quotes:

****
Experience is what you get when you don't listen to advise. Advise is what you give once you have experience.
****
Everyday, I write what I will do, even one week in advance. For example:

-I will post 5 times in forums today.
-Next Thursday, I will publish an article on a particular topic.
-I will update my blog and ping it.
-I will submit my link to 10 new directories this Friday.
-Etc.

And when your goals are written like this, you can cross them after your day and then you start to feel a sense of accomplishment and proudness in what you do. That's a way I encourage myself because I feel I do something and I move forward my business, everyday, step-by-step and rock by rock.

Also, listen to an audio about motivation once a week, it helps to get you encouraged as well or read articles about motivation and personal development.

Here a 10 minutes video that also encourage (boost) me a lot:

The Nature of Success Movie

When you feel discouraged, listen to it, that's what I do in these moments.
