Does link domain actually affect approval rates?

Quick question for media buyers.

Do you see better approval rates depending on link domain?
I ran a small test and different domains performed differently.

Curious if others tested this too.
What are you using right now?

It's pretty common to see better approval rates with standard TLDs like .com or .net because they just look more professional to compliance bots. Most traders are leaning toward clean, aged domains right now to build that trust equity and avoid getting flagged as spam. If you're seeing a difference, it's likely because the networks are favoring domains that look like long-term brands rather than temporary landing pages.

On the other hand, some TLDs are more often abused for spam or low-quality traffic, for example .xyz, .top, .click, .link, .site or very cheap promo domains. It doesn’t mean every domain on these TLDs is bad, but they may attract more scrutiny.

Of course, the domain alone will not decide everything. Approval rates can depend on many factors: landing page quality, traffic source, offer vertical, redirect chain, domain age, previous domain reputation, compliance checks and how “brandable” or trustworthy the link looks.

That’s why I think it’s worth paying attention to every small detail. Something that seems minor, like the TLD, domain history or redirect setup, can still make a difference when all signals are evaluated together.
