Black Friday sees record online as US shoppers stay home

Good news for digital bad news for mainstreet retail

Nice to see that people are shopping safely. Dr. Fauci must be breathing a sigh of relief for that, anyway.

One can only assume that many affiliates must have made a bunch of money this weekend, too.

This holiday season, everyone is shopping from home

The result? Overall holiday sales are projected to rise a slight 0.9% in November and December — and even that modest gain will be due to an explosion in online shopping, according to the research firm eMarketer. It expects online sales to jump nearly 36%, while sales at physical stores fall 4.7%.

The online rush was on fully display Monday, known as Cyber Monday, a day of sales promoted by retailers back in 2005. Once the final numbers are tallied up, this year’s Cyber Monday is projected to become the biggest online shopping day in American history.

We didn't have Black Friday here until a few years ago. Now, it and Cyber Monday are big events this side of the border, too. I think everybody I know orders a bunch of stuff on those two days. Great time to get some Xmas gifts for a bit cheaper.

Anybody that didn't take advantage of potential sales/conversions this year might want to include it in their marketing plans for next year.

The reason why that happened was pretty celar because of the fact that most of the people were at home and the best way for them to buy gns was to do them online and therefore there were more people buying things on black friday than the other times. That is what made the record.

This was indeed a great record. It seems like in that year there were so many people that decided to take their shipping online because of the circumstances which was to the benefit of those who are affiliating.
