Best brand for laptops?

Currently I am using a desktop computer and now I want to change it to a personal laptop. There are many brands available in market but I don't know which brand is good and going best, even I don't have any idea about laptops. Would you please suggest me the best brand for laptops?

If you are used to Windows as an OS then try Dell, I have had mine for three years and I am thinking about getting it upgraded this will save me alot of money in the long term because there are only aspects I want to upgrade.
